Airbus Technical Documents Online Access System In conjunction with Aeronautical Radio, Inc. (ARINC), design, develop, implement, and pilot test the Airbus technical online access system. This pilot program, involving TFUs MMELs and Service Bulletins, demonstrates that both text and graphic technical information can be accessed and manipulated by Airbus customers using commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) software at remote sites. Project tasks include implementing data communications, integrating COTS software for database development, authoring, revisioning and viewing of SGML-based files, and establishing information dissemination services with airline participants. U.S. Library of Congress Automated Vocabularies Manage automated vocabularies and thesauri using LEXICO software:
For the Hispanic Law Division, establish Internet access to LEXICO for legal indexing and abstracting. For the Prints and Photographs Division, establish Internet access (via Mosaic) to the American Memories File, cross-linked to LEXICO databases. National Institute for Literacy - ALT For the National Institute for Literacy, as part of the National Adult Literacy Information and Communication System (LINCS), develop the Adult Literacy Thesaurus (ALT) using LEXICO software. The ALT will provide both indexers and searchers a controlled vocabulary for consistent identification of materials. Nuclear Regulatory Commission PDR Thesaurus Using LEXICO software, develop and implement a thesaurus to facilitate access to NRC administrative and regulatory products available through its public document room bibliographic retrieval system. U.S. General Accounting Office Document Handling Design, develop, and implement the GAO's Document Handling and Information Services System Facility for providing online access to GAO abstracts and document retrieval services, and for publishing a periodic abstract journal with multiple indexes.
